Grapple Truck Haul on a Waterfront Job Site in Miami
Lumber, plywood and mixed construction debris loaded off the ground by claw, on a street where a container had nowhere to sit.
The problem with a dumpster here
The debris was already on the ground, stacked along a street with traffic on one side and water on the other. Dropping a container there means finding a legal spot for it, leaving it for days, and paying a crew to walk every board over to it by hand.
A grapple truck skips all of that. The boom reaches past the fence line, the claw takes a full bite of lumber at a time, and the load goes straight into the truck. No container sits on the street overnight.
What the claw actually handles
Lumber and plywood like this load, but also concrete rubble, pallets, tree trunks and palm fronds, furniture, and the mixed construction and demolition debris that builds up on a site over weeks.
The limit is weight and reach, not neatness. A pile nobody has sorted is exactly what the equipment is for.
When contractors call for one
Job-site cleanup before an inspection, when the site has to be clear on a date that will not move.
Storm and tree debris, where the volume is high and the material will not fit a standard container.
A pile another hauler already refused, usually because it is too heavy or too awkward to load.
Clearing a lot before a build starts, so the first crew on site is not working around somebody else’s mess.
